지난 27일 경기도 성남시에서 버스 승객 61살 선모씨를 폭행해 입건된 미국인 영어강사 H씨는 선씨가 조용히 하라는 말을 흑인 비하 발언으로 오해해 주먹을 휘두른 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.

On the 27th in Kyeonggido Seongnam city a 61 year old bus passenger, Mr. Seon got the crap beat out of him by the American English lecturer Mr. H after Mr. Seon told him to ‘quietin’ down’.  He misunderstood him thinking he was criticizing black people and came out swinging.

H씨는 오늘 경찰 조사에서 “좌석에 앉아있던 남성이 ‘입을 다물라’고 말해 기분이 상했고 이어진 한국말을 잘 알아듣진 못했지만 흑인을 비하하는 것으로 느꼈다”면서 “자신이 잘못했고 사과하고 싶다”고 말했습니다.

According to today’s Police Report Mr. H. said “I got upset at the guys who were sitting in the seats wthat ere saying ‘Shut your mouth’  since I pretty much couldn’t understand Korean. However I felt like they were criticizing black people.” He  also said “I did the wrong thing and I want to apologize”. 

So… I find ROKDROP commentators amusing because Tom and Retired GI have found something to agree on.
